When your website needs help now
If your site is down or not working properly, it's costing you enquiries and sales. These are the most common emergencies I fix.
Site down or blank screen
The "critical error" message, a white screen, or a site that just won't load.
Hacked or infected with malware
Spam pages, strange redirects, unknown admin users, or a "this site may be hacked" warning in Google.
Broken after an update
A WordPress, theme or plugin update has broken the layout, a page builder or a feature.
Locked out of WordPress
You can't log in, your password reset isn't arriving, or your admin account has gone.
Checkout or forms not working
WooCommerce orders not coming through, payments failing, or contact forms not sending.
Errors and warnings
Database connection errors, security certificate warnings or error messages across your pages.

A few quick things that will help me fix your site faster.
Stop making changes
Try not to install, delete or update anything else. It can make the problem harder to trace.
Note what happened
When did it start? Did you update something? Take a screenshot of any error message.
Find your logins
Have your WordPress and hosting logins handy. Please don't send passwords through the form.

Every website and every problem is different, so the final cost depends on how long the fix takes. I'll always give you an estimate first.
Business hours
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (Adelaide time)
- Minimum charge of 1 hour
- Then billed in 15-minute blocks
After hours
- Weekday evenings, weekends and SA public holidays
- Minimum charge of 1 hour
- Subject to my availability
Care plan clients
- Restoring a recent backup is covered by your plan
- After-hours support on Silver and Gold plans
- Extra work beyond a restore is charged at my hourly rate

The fine print, simply
How much will my emergency fix cost?
It depends on what's wrong and how long it takes to fix. Some problems take under an hour, others like a malware clean-up can take several hours. After I've looked at your site I'll give you an estimate, and I won't start until you're happy with it.
What counts as after hours?
Any time outside Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Adelaide time, including weekends and South Australian public holidays. After-hours work is charged at $220 per hour, and I'll always let you know first if a job will fall into after hours.
Can you help me straight away?
Call me on 0414 960 136. If I don't answer, leave a message and I'll call you back, usually within the hour. Emergency work is taken on as I'm available, and care plan clients are looked after first. After-hours help isn't guaranteed, but if I can take it on, I'll let you know.
How do I pay?
For new clients, the first hour is paid upfront before I start. Any extra time is invoiced once the work is finished and is due on receipt.
What access will you need?
Usually your WordPress admin login and your hosting login, and sometimes your domain account. I'll arrange a safe way for you to share these. Please don't send passwords by email or through the form, and it's a good idea to change them once the work is done.
Will I lose anything if you restore a backup?
Restoring a backup takes your site back to the date of that backup, so newer changes, blog posts, form entries or orders may be lost. I'll talk this through with you before restoring anything. If there are no recent backups, the fix may take longer, and in some cases the site may need to be rebuilt.
My site has been hacked. Can you guarantee it won't happen again?
No one can guarantee that. I'll clean the site, remove what caused the problem where I can find it, update everything and tighten security. Keeping it updated and monitored afterwards is what really reduces the risk, which is what my WordPress care plans are for.
Are there any other costs?
Sometimes a fix needs a premium plugin licence, a theme renewal, a security tool or a hosting change. These are paid separately, and I'll always check with you before buying anything.
What if the problem is with my hosting?
If your host's server is down, I can't fix that for them, but I can help you work out what's going on and talk to your hosting provider for you. Time spent on this is charged at my hourly rate.
